Father-to-be Tom Cruise has revealed that he has bought a sonogram machine for pregnant fiancée Katie Holmes so that they can monitor the development of their baby.
A sonogram machine, which costs between $150,000 and $200,000, uses ultra-sound to look at the development of a foetus.
In an interview to be broadcast on US TV on 29 November, excerpts of which are published in People magazine, Cruise said he intended to donate the machine to a hospital after the couple's baby was born.
Cruise said he did not know if the baby was a boy or a girl and that if he did, he would not reveal it.
He also said that he and Holmes had not set a date for their wedding, but planned to marry in the summer or early autumn.
