Britney Spears is in talks to play the lead role in the musical 'Sweet Charity' on Broadway.
The New York Post reports that if Spears signs up for the show, she will replace Christina Applegate in January.
Spears would play Charity Hope Valentine, a character described as "a plucky dancer with a heart of gold".
If Spears joins the cast of the musical, the New York Post claims that the production will move to a larger venue to accommodate the bigger crowds.
