Former 'EastEnders' star Elaine Lordan has said that she is "gutted" after being forced to quit 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here' due to illness.
Lordan, who played Lynne Slater in the soap, announced last night that she would not be returning to the jungle camp after being released from hospital.
The show's bosses decided it was too risky to allow the actress back into the camp. She was hospitalised for two nights after collapsing twice and suffering a seizure during her first day in the jungle.
Lordan said: "I can't explain what happened the day I had that seizure. I've heard lots of descriptions of it. I can't help but laugh about it now although it's not funny."
"I have a vague surreal memory of gripping Sid (Owen's) hand and saying 'help me'," she said, explaining that tiredness had probably got the better of her.
An ITV spokesman said: "We have given a great deal of thought and consideration to Elaine's situation and have decided that she won't be returning to the jungle."
Meanwhile, singer Jimmy Osmond completed the bush-tucker trial last night, earning four meals for camp after retrieving stars from a enclosure full of kangaroos.
