Paul Weller is to be honoured at next year's Brit Awards.
NME.com reports that Weller will receive the Outstanding Contribution to British Music award.
Commenting on the decision, British Phonographic Industry Chairman Peter Jamieson said: "The Outstanding Contribution Award is the highest honour the UK record industry can bestow. It is reserved for those whose influence, longevity and creativity puts them in the very top ranks of UK artists. Paul Weller is an artist who scores on every measure and typifies the range and quality of British music at its best."
The awards take place at London's Earl's Court on 15 February.
The nominees will be announced on 10 January.
