The BBC will screen a one-off 'Doctor Who' special as part of its Christmas schedule.
The episode is titled 'Doctor Who – The Christmas Invasion' and finds the unconscious Doctor (David Tennant) spending Christmas at the family home of his assistant Rose (Billie Piper).
Among the dangers encountered in the special episode are a brass band of masked Santas, a killer Christmas tree and a monstrous race bent on world domination.
Other programmes on the BBC at Christmas include a two-part 'Casualty'/'Holby City' crossover; a 'French and Saunders' special, a one-off, Graham Norton-hosted version of 'The Generation Game' called 'Generation Fame' and late comedian Ronnie Barker's final TV appearance in 'The Two Ronnies Christmas Special', which was recorded earlier this year.
