For the third year in succession, actor James Nesbitt is to host the Irish Film and Television Awards next month.

Commenting on his return as host, Nesbitt said: "Presenting the show on the evening is a chance to really be involved in this special event, which showcases the best of Irish talent."

He continued: "It is an evening in which we celebrate both film and television and it gives Irish artists well-deserved recognition in their homeland for their work both here and internationally. I am also thrilled to have received a nomination for 'Murphy's Law', and proud to have received it from the Irish Film and Television Awards."

The Irish Film and Television Awards take place on Saturday 5 November and will be broadcast live on RTÉ One at 9.30pm.
