Pop singer Britney Spears has threatened to take legal action after images of her one-month-old baby were stolen and posted on a number of websites.
The images, which were taken during a recent photo shoot, were removed from the websites after the singer released a statement saying that legal action would be taken against those who published the photographs.
The statement, released through the singer's record label, Jive Records, said: "Anyone who publishes, sells or otherwise exploits any of these images in any way will be subject to liability and damages for wilful infringement of copyright."
Spears' representatives have not yet commented on whether or not the singer has reported the theft of the photographs to the police.
