Pop star Robbie Williams has revealed that a terrified-looking David Beckham standing on stage helped him get over his nerves at this summer's Live 8.
The 31-year-old singer, who has spent a lot of time recently in the US, was nervous about his first major live performance in the UK since 2003.
But the former Take That star said his nerves melted when he saw the England football captain fretting about introducing him at the Live 8 concert in London's Hyde Park.
Speaking on BBC show 'Friday Night with Jonathan Ross', Williams said: "I was so scared, I spent the whole day in the cabin.
"I got on stage and David looked more scared than me and I got a perverse joy out of it. He's a big hero of mine."
