'War of the Worlds' star Dakota Fanning is to voice the title character in a new animated film called 'Coraline'.
The Hollywood Reporter says the film is based on the best-selling novel by Neil Gaiman and tells the story of a young girl who discovers an alternate version of her life through a door in her new home.
But the new world becomes dangerous when the girl's alternate parents try to keep her there.
Henry Selick, who directed 'Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas', will write and direct the film.
