Daniel Craig has been revealed as next actor to play James Bond, at a press conference in London.
The 'Layer Cake' actor arrived at the press conference, which was held on the banks of the Thames in London, in a speedboat.
Speaking about the challenge of taking on the role, Craig said: "I've just got to step up to the plate and deal with it."
Craig had been the bookies' favourite to land the role all week. Other actors who were linked to the role included Clive Owen, Jude Law and Hugh Jackman.
The 37-year-old actor previously starred in 'The Mother', 'Road To Perdition' and 'Love Is The Devil'.
The 21st Bond film 'Casino Royale' is due to begin shooting in January and is scheduled for release in autumn 2006.
