R&B singer Usher is in talks to play the younger version of Morgan Freeman's character in a new film the Oscar winner plans to direct.
The action-suspense film tells the story of an assassin and takes place in Cuba in the 1960s and the present day.
Speaking to MTV News, Usher said that the opportunity to play Freeman's character and work with the legendary actor was the greatest compliment of his life.
He continued: "It's a very, very, very cool script. The type of script that you would want to have yourself involved in — a character that I've never seen, that I could never identify with."
Freeman previously directed the 1993 film 'Bopha!'.
