Future Emmerdale scripts are mislaid

Security on the set of soap 'Emmerdale' has been increased after two sets of scripts for the show went missing.

A spokesperson for 'Emmerdale' confirmed that two scripts had been mislaid, but did not comment on whether storylines would be rewritten as a result.

One set of scripts was found in a Leeds pub and the other was discovered on a London to Manchester train.

Both sets of scripts were found by members of the public, who attempted to distribute the confidential information to national newspapers.

According to reports, one set of scripts was returned to Yorkshire TV's head offices in Leeds, but the other set is still missing.

A spokesperson said: "These are working documents for cast and crew containing confidential information. We kindly ask they are returned to 'Emmerdale' production centre at Yorkshire TV."

"We are looking into how this has happened and reminding our teams to take care with these confidential documents."
