'One Tree Hill' stars Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush have split after five months of marriage, according to reports.
A spokesperson for Bush confirmed the split but gave no further details of the breakup. According to People magazine, both actors later issued statements confirming the reports.
"I am saddened to announce that Sophia and I are separating," Murray said in a statement. "This is a very difficult time for me."
In a separate statement, Bush said: "This is a difficult and unfortunate situation. I am glad this is being resolved sooner rather than later."
Murray, who plays Lucas Scott in the show, and Bush, who stars as Brooke Davis, got engaged in summer 2004, after beginning their relationship in 2003. They married in April of this year in Santa Monica.
