Supermodel Kate Moss has issued an apology for her recent behaviour, following newspaper reports which alleged that she was taking illegal drugs.

In a statement, issued by the Storm Model Management agency, Moss apologised to friends, family and business associates for her actions, but did not specifically mention the tabloid report which allegedly showed photographs of her taking cocaine.

"I take full responsibility for my actions," Moss said, in the statement. "I also accept that there are various personal issues that I need to address and have started taking the difficult, yet necessary, steps to resolve them."

"I want to apologise to all of the people I have let down because of my behaviour which has reflected badly on my family, friends, co-workers, business associates and others," she said.

Moss' lawyer, Gerrard Tyrrell, said that the model that nothing further to add to the comments in the statement.

H&M and Burberry have already ended their associations with the model, following the recent media reports.

Chanel also indicated that Moss' contract, which is due to expire next month, would not be renewed. A spokesperson for Rimmel cosmetics also confirmed that the model's deal was currently "under review".
