Mumba - Case struck out

The case against actress and singer Samantha Mumba, on motoring offences, has been struck out by Dublin District Court.

The 22-year-old was charged with having no motor tax or driving licence and failing to display or produce them when stopped by Gardaí on the M1 near Dublin last November.

Garda John Faherty told the court today that Mumba's drivers licence was in order and that the singer had paid all outstanding motor tax arrears.

At an earlier hearing in July, a charge of having no insurance was struck out after she produced an insurance certificate to Gardaí.

The singer appeared in court today but did not comment after the case was struck out.
