Toni Collette, the 'Muriel's Wedding' star who was Oscar nominated for her performance in 'The Sixth Sense', is to release an album, 'Beautiful, Awkward Pictures', next year.
Reuters reports that Collette has described her music as "alternative rock, pop" and that the actress has been writing songs for many years while on film sets.
Speaking at the Toronto Film Festival this week, Collette said it was only recently that she felt secure enough to take a break from acting and believe she would have a career to return to.
Collette will also tour with her band Toni Collette and The Finish, which features her husband on drums.
