A restraining order has been issued against a man accused of breaking into the home of former 'Friends' star Jennifer Aniston.

The 48-year-old man, named as David Hesterbey, allegedly climbed over a high fence around the star's rented home and gained access to the house on Malibu Beach.

Aniston was away filming a movie at the time of the break-in. Hesterbey allegedly told a worker at the house that he was "looking for Jennifer" before fleeing the scene. He was later arrested on the beach near Aniston's home.

The restraining order issued yesterday forbids Hesterbey from coming within 100 yards of the actress, her home or her vehicle.

He remains in custody facing first-degree burglary and petty theft charges, to which he has pleaded not guilty. He is due to return to court on 26 September.
