Bob Geldof has hit back at critics who have attacked his role in the Make Poverty History campaign.
He says in-fighting from charities and other campaigners is threatening to stall improvements in July's G8 summit deal on aid and debt.
He admits that G8 failed to offer the campaign's desired deal to end the way rich countries subsidise their agricultural exports, which harm poor farmers.
Some Make Poverty History members argue the deal did not go far enough and was overshadowed by the widescale publicity for the Geldof-organised Live 8 concerts.
