It is reported that Matt Damon and his girlfriend Luciana Barroso are engaged.
US magazine Us Weekly quoted a publicist for the actor as saying that he popped the question "shortly before Labor Day" (5 September).
The couple have been dating for two years, but the magazine said that no wedding date had been set.
It will be Damon's first marriage; Barroso has a daughter from a previous relationship.
