Legendary filmmaker Robert Altman is to make his London theatrical debut directing an Arthur Miller play at the Old Vic.
'Resurrection Blues' has never been staged in the UK before and Miller was working on the play up to his death in February and had expressed his desire to see it staged at the Old Vic.
Speaking about staging the play at the Old Vic, the theatre's artistic director, actor Kevin Spacey, said: "It is a remarkable play, very funny and provocative and challenging."
He continued: "Arthur Miller had hoped it would premiere in London and was so pleased the possibility was in the air that it would come to the Old Vic because he loved this theatre. We want to see that particular dream of Miller's come true."
