'Snatch' star Jason Statham, soon to be seen on Irish screens in 'Revolver', is to play the lead role in a new action-thriller called 'Crank'.
Variety reports that 'Crank' will follow a hitman's one-day rampage through Los Angeles after he has been poisoned.
The film will begin shooting in Los Angeles in October.
'Revolver' opens in cinemas on 23 September, while Statham's other new film, 'Transporter 2', opens on 25 November.
