DJ and presenter Chris Evans has given a £10,000 diamond to his caddy after winning the jewel when he was voted best player in the recent celebrity golf tournament, the All Star Cup.
Evans presented 17-year-old school girl Natalie Harrison with the Russian-cut diamond as a reward for her caddying efforts throughout the competition, claiming she had been instrumental in his success.
Harrison said: "I was just shocked when he said that I should have it. I turned him down at first but he insisted and said I deserved it."
"I gave him advice on what line to take with his putts and judged distances on the fairway for him."
Harrison said that Evans was having the diamond set in a necklace for her. The DJ was amongst a group of celebrities who battled it out in the US versus Europe golf tournament, organised by television presenters Ant & Dec.
Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas and Ronan Keating also took part in the competition.
