Paul Haggis, the writer-director of the ensemble drama 'Crash', is to rewrite the next James Bond film, 'Casino Royale'.
The Hollywood Reporter says that 'The World Is Not Enough' and 'Die Another Day' writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade wrote the previous draft of the script, which is based on author Ian Fleming's first Bond book.
The book later became a 1967 spy spoof starring David Niven and Peter Sellers.
'GoldenEye' helmer Martin Campbell returns to the director's chair for 'Casino Royale'.
Haggis, who wrote the screenplay for Clint Eastwood's Oscar-winning 'Million Dollar Baby', has also written the screenplay for Eastwood's upcoming World War Two film 'Flags of Our Fathers'.
