Stephen Spielberg is to produce a remake of the 1951 sci-fi film 'When Worlds Collide'.
Variety reports that Spielberg will take over as producer from 'Van Helsing' director Stephen Sommers, who had been set to write, direct and produce the film but instead will produce and direct a new action comedy called 'A Night at the Museum'.
The trade daily says there is no decision at present on whether Spielberg will direct 'When Worlds Collide'; he is currently shooting his new film 'Munich'.
Spielberg is also serving as producer on the upcoming films 'Memoirs of a Geisha' and 'The Legend of Zorro'.
