Green Day were among the winners at rock magazine Kerrang!'s annual awards in London last night.
They won the awards for Best Band on the Planet and Best Live Band.
Iron Maiden were inducted into the Kerrang! Hall of Fame, while Marilyn Manson, who plays the RDS in Dublin with Iron Maiden on 31 August, was the recipient of the Icon award.
My Chemical Romance took the Best Album award for 'Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge' and Best Video for 'Helena'; Foo Fighters' 'Best of You' was named Best Single.
Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails was the recipient of the Classic Songwriter award and Killing Joke were honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award.
There were also awards for Trivium (Best International Newcomer), Bullet for My Valentine (Best British Newcomer) and Funeral for a Friend (Best British Band).
