Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt have formally ended their four-year marriage, according to court papers.
Divorce proceedings were concluded on Friday last after dissolution papers were filed at a Los Angeles court.
"Judgement of dissolution is entered," the court papers said. "Marital or domestic partnership status is terminated and the parties are restored to the status of single persons."
The papers also stated that Aniston and Pitt had reached an out-of-court agreement, listing 2 October 2005 as the date that the divorce becomes final.
Both Aniston and Pitt and their respective attorneys signed the papers. Aniston, who filed for divorce earlier this year, has also had her maiden name formally restored.
