Rapper Eminem has cancelled his European tour scheduled to begin in September, including his date at Slane on 17 September.
In a statement released by his record company, the rap star has cited "exhaustion, complicated by other medical issues" as the reason for the cancellation of tour dates.
The statement also said that the dates on the Anger Management tour, which also featured 50 Cent, were not expected to be rescheduled. No further details were given about Eminem's health.
Concert promoters MCD have subsequently announced that Slane 2005 will be cancelled as a result of Eminem's decision and apologised to fans for the inconvenience caused.
Full ticket refunds will be available from point of purchase from 12 noon this Friday 19 August. The 80,000 tickets for Eminem's headline concert at Slane Castle were sold out in less than two hours when they went on sale on 10 June.
Earlier this year it was reported that the rapper may retire following his Anger Management tour. But the 33-year-old rapper denied these suggestions, saying that he was going to concentrate on producing other artists for a while.
