Grammy-winning singer Marc Cohn has escaped with only minor injuries after being shot in the head during a carjacking.
The singer had just finished performing a concert when the incident happened. His attacker fled from the scene on foot.
"The bullet hit Mr Cohn flush in the temple," Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson said. "He's very lucky it wasn't a fatal shot."
Cohn was released from hospital after surgeons removed the bullet from his skull.
The singer, who is best known for the song 'Walking in Memphis', won a Grammy for Best Newcomer in 1991.
