'Friends' star Matthew Perry is to play the lead role in a new TV movie called 'The Ron Clark Story'.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the film is based on the true story of a teacher in East Harlem, New York who won Disney's Teacher of the Year Award in 2000.
The film will be shown on the TNT network in the US.
Commenting on Perry's casting: TNT Senior Vice President of Original Programming Michael Wright said: "We are proud to have an actor of the calibre of Matthew Perry bringing his talents to such a memorable, inspirational story."
