Actor Colin Farrell has secured a restraining order preventing a Playboy model ex-girlfriend from distributing a videotape of them having sex.
A Los Angeles judge has temporarily blocked Playboy Playmate Nicole Narain from showing, selling or distributing the 15-minute videotape.
Farrell filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles on Monday in order to stop the tape, which was made over two years ago, from going public.
He claims that he had an understanding with Narain that the videotape would remain "strictly private and confidential between them".
According to the lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, the actor's representatives were contacted last week by a man, claiming to work with Narain, who wanted to talk about "commercialisation of the videotape for profit".
Farrell claimed in the lawsuit that the defendants have no rights to licence the videotape. He is also seeking unspecified damages in the case.
The next court hearing is scheduled to take place on 10 August in Los Angeles.
