'Fair City' will break from its normal storylines next week as Mondo (George McMahon) gets caught up in a spiral of insider trading, drugs and murder which will ultimately see him leave Carrigstown.
The two-week special is called 'Sins of our Children' and begins with Mondo becoming involved with a group of Lauren's (Rachel Kavanagh) rich friends who are operating an insider trading scam.
When Mondo witnesses the murder of one of the group he finds that no-one will believe his story and his own safety is threatened.
The episodes will be broadcast in the usual 'Fair City' time slot of 8pm between Tuesday 26 July and Sunday 7 August, with a one-hour episode on Thursday 28 July at 8pm.
Actor George McMahon has decided to take a break from his role as Mondo, but may return to the soap at some point in the future.
