Irish director John Moore is to direct 'Omen 666', a remake of the 1970s horror classic 'The Omen'.
Variety reports that the new film will update the story, and the script is currently being written.
Movie studio 20th Century Fox has fast tracked the project and production is set to begin on 3 October.
Dundalk man Moore's other directorial credits include 'Flight of the Phoenix' and 'Behind Enemy Lines'.
