Josh Schwartz, the creator of hit series 'The OC', is to write the screenplay for and direct a new comedy drama called 'Looking for Alaska'.
Variety reports that the coming-of-age story is based on the John Green novel of the same name and is set in an Alabama boarding school.
The story centres on Alaska Young, a reckless girl and the object of affection of most of her male schoolmates.
Schwartz will make his feature directorial debut with the film.
