'Boston Public' star Jeri Ryan is joining the cast of 'The OC' in a recurring role.
Variety reports that Ryan, who played Ronnie Cooke in 'Boston Public', will play Charlotte Morgan in 'The OC', a woman with a secret who befriends Kirsten (Kelly Rowan) while the latter is in rehab.
Ryan is expected to star in at least seven episodes of the third series of 'The OC', which begins its third season in the US in September.
The actress also starred as Seven of Nine in 'Star Trek: Voyager'.
