Gary Oldman has joined the cast of 'Zodiac', the new serial killer thriller from 'Se7en' director David Fincher.
The cast also includes Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr, Anthony Edwards and Jake Gyllenhaal.
The film is based on the true story of the so-called 'Zodiac Killer', who terrorised San Francisco for over two decades.
Gyllenhaal will play the journalist and author Robert Graysmith, who wrote the books 'Zodiac' and 'Zodiac Unmasked' upon which the film is based.
Downey will play Paul Avery, Graysmith's colleague at the San Francisco Chronicle, the newspaper that the killer used to communicate with authorities.
Oldman will play attorney-turned-detective Melvin Belli in the film.
The actor can currently be seen on Irish cinema screens in 'Batman Begins'.
