A crowd of 70,000 attended the Oxegen Festival at Punchestown Racecourse in Co Kildare over the weekend.

Around 60,000 fans camped on site at the two-day music event.

The festival, the largest of its kind in the country, featured over 80 acts on five stages.

US rock group The Foo Fighters and British indie band Keane were headlining Sunday's line-up.

US punk rockers Green Day and Irish rock band The Frames were the main acts on Saturday evening.

Gardaí say that overall it has been a good-humoured festival with only some arrests for minor drug offences.

Tickets for next year's event go on sale on Friday.
