'Big Brother' housemate Derek Laud has confidently predicted that the public will vote Roberto Conte out of the house this week.
The Tory speechwriter is odds-on favourite with the bookmakers to go on Friday after being nominated yesterday by his fellow housemates, along with the Italian.
But Derek strongly believes that Roberto will get the boot, although he reaffirmed his wish to leave the house.
Speaking in the Diary Room he said: "I remain confident that going head to head with Roberto would probably mean I would have to stay here after Friday. That is my honest estimation. Call it big headed if you like."
He praised his rival, though, and said that Roberto deserved to stay.
"Roberto is a better man than me. It's important to give way to others when you genuinely believe they are a better person, more decent than oneself."
Meanwhile, teacher Roberto confessed he was not surprised that he was nominated.
"I didn't make myself popular in the first place, maybe I should have been more diplomatic and kept a low profile," he told the Diary Room.
