With his debut solo album 'TheFutureEmbrace' just released, Billy Corgan has announced that he wants to "renew and revive" his former band, Smashing Pumpkins.
In a full-page ad in yesterday's editions of the Chicago Tribune and Sun-Times, Corgan said: "I want my band back, and my songs, and my dreams."
There were no details on which, if any, of the band's former members would be involved.
Smashing Pumpkins played their last concert on 2 December 2000 in Chicago.
