Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Tweedy and Arsenal footballer Ashley Cole have got engaged, according to her spokesperson.
Cole proposed to the pop singer during a holiday in Dubai, following the end of the Girls Aloud tour. The couple have been dating for nine months.
Tweedy's spokesperson said: "Ashley and Cheryl are engaged. He proposed in Dubai and she accepted straight away. Everyone is very happy for them."
The singer was recently quoted as saying: "Everything is perfect with Ashley - it's quite scary how good it all is."
