Former East 17 singer Brian Harvey has regained consciousness in hospital, following his car accident last month.
The singer was being kept sedated after receiving a number of serious injuries when he was crushed under the wheels of his own car.
Harvey's manager Simon Harrison said: "Considering what condition Brian was in two weeks ago, these improvements are great news."
Harrison said that when Harvey regained consciousness: "He spent all day smiling and reading through his messages and cards. He was in very good spirits."
Harvey reportedly fell from his car while reversing down a road with the door open, sustaining several broken bones and severe abdominal injuries.
