Actor Tom Cruise has proposed to his 26-year-old girlfriend Katie Holmes at the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The 42-year-old told reporters that he proposed to actress Holmes at the famous landmark early this morning.
He has already been married twice - to actresses Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman.
Their spokesmen confirmed the pair were in a relationship in April.
On Wednesday Cruise dismissed claims that the relationship was just a publicity stunt.
"I have to laugh. It's just ridiculous," he said at the European premiere of 'War of the Worlds' in Berlin.
"Something magnificent has happened to me and something extraordinary, and I'm so happy I just can't restrain myself."
