Hollywood actor Tom Cruise has denied rumours his relationship with actress Katie Holmes is just a fabricated publicity stunt.
"I have to laugh. It's just ridiculous," Cruise said at the European premiere of the film 'War of the Worlds' in Berlin.
"Something magnificent has happened to me and something extraordinary and I'm so happy I can't restrain myself."
Recent polls in People magazine and US Weekly showed that more than 60% of those responding thought the romance between the two was a publicity stunt to promote upcoming films.
Holmes stars in 'Batman Begins', which opens in Ireland on Thursday 16 June.
The movie 'War of the Worlds', directed by Steven Spielberg, is based on a novel by HG Wells and it opens in Ireland on Friday 1 July.
