'Emmerdale' actress Sammy Winward, who plays Katie Sugden in the soap, has given birth to a baby girl.
The baby girl, who will be named Mia, was born yesterday morning and weighed 5lb 14oz.
Winward is engaged to Birmingham City footballer David Dunn, and Mia is the couple's first child together.
The actress said: "David and I are both absolutely delighted with our new arrival."
An 'Emmerdale' spokesperson said: "We are all thrilled for Sammy and David on the birth of their daughter Mia and wish them every happiness."
Winward is due to return to the soap in January.
