Singer Rod Stewart has confirmed that he is set to become a father again at the age of 60.
Stewart and his model fiancé Penny Lancaster, who have been together for almost six years, are set to get married early in 2006.
Their baby is due to be born in early December. Although rumours of the pregnancy had been reported in the media in recent weeks, the couple did not want to confirm the news until after the 12th week of the pregnancy.
Stewart said in a statement: "I am overjoyed and extremely proud to be able to confirm that my fiancé Penny is carrying our baby."
"I count myself blessed to have bestowed upon me the honour of fatherhood again with Penny, whom I love and cherish so much," he said.
