Actress Melanie Hill is joining the cast of TV soap 'Emmerdale'.
Hill, best known for her role as Aveline in the comedy series 'Bread', will play Bob Hope's (Tony Audenshaw) new girlfriend Avril in 'Emmerdale'.
Avril bears an uncanny similarity to Bob's ex-wife Viv Windsor (Deena Payne) with an 'Emmerdale' spokesperson promising "a fantastically funny storyline".
The 43-year-old actress, who has also appeared in 'The Bill' and 'Playing the Field', will make her 'Emmerdale' debut in July.
