Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher are to star in a new film called 'The Guardian'.
Production Weekly reports that the film tells the story of Jake Cummings (Kutcher), a troubled young man who joins the coastguard to put his life back on track.
He then forms a friendship with a legendary rescue swimmer (Costner) who lost his crew in an accident some years earlier.
Production on the film, which will be directed by 'Holes' helmer Andrew Davis, is set to begin in October.
Kutcher will next be seen on Irish cinema screens opposite Amanda Peet in 'A Lot Like Love'.
