Oscar-winning actress Renee Zellweger has married country music star Kenny Chesney in a small ceremony on a Caribbean island on Monday.
Zellweger's publicist confirmed that the couple had got married in the presence of their families and a small number of close friends on the island of St John, also saying that the actress wore a Carolina Herrera dress.
Zellweger and Chesney met at the Concert of Hope tsunami relief benefit in January of this year. The actress was answering telephones at the event where Chesney was performing.
According to reports, the wedding reception was held at Chesney's home on the north of the island, with a garden buffet being served.
The couple made their relationship public in April when Zellweger graced the stage at one of Chesney's concerts in Florida, giving him a kiss and presenting him with a margarita.
'Bridget Jones' star Zellweger was previously engaged to her 'Me, Myself and Irene' co-star Jim Carrey. She has also reportedly had romances with White Stripes singer Jack White and Irish musician Damien Rice.
Chesney was named Entertainer of the Year by the Country Music Association last November. His hits include 'Me and You' and 'She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy'.
