It is reported that Johnny Depp is to act as producer on the film version of Nick Hornby's new book 'A Long Way Down'.
Variety reports that Depp will share production duties with Graham King ('The Aviator', 'Traffic') and David Heyman (the Harry Potter films).
'A Long Way Down' tells the story of four people who meet on New Year's Eve and form a surrogate family to help themselves get through the holiday period.
The book was published this week.
