Tickets for a back-to-back marathon screening of the five 'Star Wars' films at the Empire cinema in London's Leicester Square on 16 May sold out in five minutes yesterday.
Fans queued all weekend to get one of the 1,000 'Galactic Passports' for the event, which culminates with a premiere of the third episode in the series; 'Revenge of the Sith' at the Odeon cinema.
"This is the fastest-selling screening we've ever had at the Empire," said cinema spokesperson Katy Harris.
Writer-director George Lucas will attend the premiere of 'Revenge of the Sith' as well as stars Hayden Christensen, Anthony Daniels and Peter Mayhew.
