It has been announced that Ray D'Arcy is to host this year's Rose of Tralee.
The competition will be broadcast live on RTÉ Television on 22 and 23 August.
D'Arcy is best-known for presenting 'You're A Star' and 'The Den' on RTÉ Television and for his daily radio show on Today FM.
Commenting on his new role, D'Arcy said: "I'm really excited about the whole thing. Like most of the country, I've watched the Rose of Tralee over many years and it's great to be a part of what is a uniquely Irish television event."
